The Hoya Kerrii, more commonly known as Sweetheart plant, has a heart-shaped leaf. Whilst there are multiple plants with leaves shaped like hearts, none are as pronounced as the Hoya Kerrii’s. The plant is an ideal gift for someone you love. Do make sure that person knows his or her way around plants, because the Sweetheart plant needs proper care.

Place the Sweetheart plant in a light spot, in filtered sunlight. Allow the potting soil to dry before watering again. When watering the Hoya Kerrii, give just enough to moisten the potting soil and make sure not to overwater it. We recommend placing a layer of hydro granules at the bottom of the pot, so it won’t matter if you accidentally overwater it. This is the best way of preventing root rot.
