Description
The Heart fern is named after its heart-shaped leaves. These dark green, glossy leaves grow on dark coloured, wiry stems. The Hemionitis Arifolia is native to tropical Asia, and therefore requires a high humidity.
Place the Hemionitis Arifolia in a light spot or the semi shade, but not in direct sunlight. Make sure the potting soil is always mildly moist, but not wet. It’s best to water the plant regularly, and to give small amounts of water each time. Just enough to moisten the potting soil. We recommend placing a layer of hydro granules at the bottom of the pot, so it won’t matter if you accidentally overwater it. This is the best way of preventing root rot. We also recommend regularly misting the Heart fern to maintain a high humidity.
